Why It Matters

Trucking and logistics still run on manual processes and fragmented tools. Dispatchers spend their day coordinating drivers instead of winning business — on average missing 1–3 loads a day, worth $1,000–$10,000 in lost revenue, because they are occupied with dispatching drivers rather than dealing with potential customers.

In nine days, RoadStar Hackathon teams delivered working fleet management, dispatch, routing, and mobile solutions that target exactly these gaps. The same automation can raise revenue and cut cost across the business — and put the workforce back in front of customers doing sales and quoting:

Dispatch & load matching
One-click assignment so dispatchers stop hand-scheduling and start selling and quoting.
AI quoting & rate engines
Price lanes and send quotes in seconds to answer more inbound freight and win more loads.
Detention, invoicing & documents
Auto-draft charges, invoices and paperwork to recover revenue that is currently written off.
Voice & messaging copilots
Turn driver calls and texts into instant dispatch updates, keeping the desk free for customers.
Routing & backhaul optimization
Cut empty miles, fuel and overtime to lower the cost per load.
HOS/ELD & compliance
Less admin, fewer violations and lower back-office overhead.
